This public talk with energy advisor, Ross Gordon, is an introduction to how energy efficiency goals are changing home design. He will review the value of different home energy upgrades, how they intersect, and how to access government incentives to fund them.

Modern home design stresses energy efficiency, better insulation, and air tightness for more home comfort than ever. This talk will introduce how to evaluate each component of a home to create an energy model to better plan renovation and new building decisions. We’ll discuss about how to make choices that maximize home comfort and minimize cost and look into interest-free loans and rebates for saving energy and reducing emissions.
