Join this year’s Summer Reading Club illustrator, Meneka Repka, to find out what it’s like to be a children’s illustrator, and the process she goes through when illustrating a picture book from start to finish. Meneka will show us types of illustrations, thumbnailing, and character development (including how to draw monsters). Then, after reading The Mango Monster, participants will have a chance to design and create their own monster craft. We will cut, fold, and decorate monsters that can be scary, goofy, cute, or anything else! Ages 8-12
