Adult Summer Reading Challenge

Participate in a Summer Reading Challenge for Adults by reading a book from the list below and filling out a review form to enter our weekly prize draw. We’ll draw winners every Thursday between July 18 and August 29, and create a display featuring patron reviews*.
Pick up your Review Forms at the library.
- A Canada Reads Nominee
- A SC Festival of the Written Arts book
- A re-telling of a myth, fable, or fairy tale
- A book by a local author
- Read a book outside
- A book with a cover you didn’t like
- A book that isn’t set on Earth
- A book you tried before, but didn’t finish
- A graphic novel or comic book
- A book by an Indigenous author
- Re-read a book you loved as a child
- Cook a recipe from a book
- A book involving travel
- A Library Staff pick
- A book about food or with food on the cover
- A book by a BIPOC or 2SLGBTQ+ author
- A book set in another time period
- A poetry collection
- A book translated from another language
- Listen to an audiobook
- A book published the year you were born
- A book then watch the movie
- A book with disability representation
- A book with an older adult as a main character
- A banned or challenged book
