Adult Summer Reading Challenge

Participate in a Summer Reading Challenge for Adults by reading a book from the list below and filling out a review form to enter our weekly prize draw. We’ll draw winners every Thursday between July 18 and August 29, and create a display featuring patron reviews*.

Pick up your Review Forms at the library.

  1. A Canada Reads Nominee
  2. A SC Festival of the Written Arts book
  3. A re-telling of a myth, fable, or fairy tale
  4. A book by a local author
  5. Read a book outside
  6. A book with a cover you didn’t like
  7. A book that isn’t set on Earth
  8. A book you tried before, but didn’t finish
  9. A graphic novel or comic book
  10. A book by an Indigenous author
  11. Re-read a book you loved as a child
  12. Cook a recipe from a book
  13. A book involving travel
  14. A Library Staff pick
  15. A book about food or with food on the cover
  16. A book by a BIPOC or 2SLGBTQ+ author
  17. A book set in another time period
  18. A poetry collection
  19. A book translated from another language
  20. Listen to an audiobook
  21. A book published the year you were born
  22. A book then watch the movie
  23. A book with disability representation
  24. A book with an older adult as a main character
  25. A banned or challenged book
