Loan Periods & Fines

Sechelt Public Library allows a maximum loan of 40 items per card.  Please be advised that borrowing privileges are suspended if   you have overdue items. Please also note that we can’t take payment for fines on items from the Gibsons and District Public Library.

Children’s/Teen Materials Books, Kits, DVDs, CDs, Read-alongs, Audiobooks 3 weeks (2 renewals) We do not charge fines for these items.
DVDs Patrons are limited to 2 New DVDs. New DVDs – 14 days (no renewals)  Regular DVD collection – 14 days (1 renewal) No fines until 30 June 2018
Magazines There are magazine collections for children, teens, and adults. Current issue: In-Library Use Only
Back issues: 2 weeks (1 renewal)
Adults: No fines until 30 June 2018
Children and Teens: We do not charge fines for these items.
Newspapers Vancouver Sun, National Post, Globe & Mail, New York Times Sunday Edition, Coast Reporter, The Local In-Library Use Only
Interlibrary Loans Interlibrary loans available via BC Interlibrary Connect, Outlook and beyond Loan period and renewal policy set by loaning library InterLibrary Connect items: 25¢ per day/$5 max  // InterLibrary Loan items: 50¢ per day.  No maximum fine.
